Wedding: Nate And Katie

These two are long-time friends of mine, and I had to hold back my super manly tears the whole time.  Couldn’t be happier for them!  The sweet part about this wedding was that it was made up of all of my friends.  The bridal party, the vendors (Friendors!), the pastor and even the owner of the venue.  Congratulations Nate And Katie!

Family Portraits

Hey friends! If you know me in real life, you know that for years I’ve been reluctant to do family portraits. I have nothing against families, in fact, I value family more than most things in this world. I’m just more of a small group person. That’s why I love shooting couples (or less people) the most.

Recently I’ve had a few close friends beg me for some family portraits and I decided to give in … to a few of them. I warned them all in advance that family portraits are not my specialty, and they all expressed great faith in my talents, and told me to shut the heck up and come take their photos. Oh man, these are the people I willingly hang out with and love dearly. I dug my own grave on this one.

So anyways, all that to say this … I had fun. I walked away with some unexpectedly rad photos, and I would totally do it again. Do I want to shoot you, your aunts and uncles, cousins, neighbor and favorite barista all in one shot? No way dude. But if you’re a small family, I’d love to jump out of my comfort zone to bless you with some images you can remember forever. I’ve updated my Pricing page to reflect this change in services. Can’t wait to meet you and your families!

Eyes That Shine

Remember this post?  I told you there would be more.  And I told you it was worth the wait.  Was I right?  That’s what I thought.  You know, while we’re at it, let’s look at another one.

No joke, this couple was fun.  And gorgeous.  But we’ve already covered that.  I was the 2nd shooter for this wedding, and had a blast observing, shooting, lugging gear, and just being an all around helpful dude.  I think that’s what I love most about 2nd shooting.  I get to be helpful.  I love seeing the images that a photographer gets, and I love being able to accomplish them.  In most cases, I also come away with some great shots of my own.  I’ll keep this short and sweet.  I’ve got a handful of portrait sessions to edit, some maternity shoots, and a wedding coming up on December 31st!  Speaking of that wedding, the bride and groom are AMAZING.  We’ve been talking back and forth, and I just sit and laugh.  I can’t wait to shoot them!  I’ll leave you with one more shot.  Have a great weekend!
